Job Summary And Qualifications

 

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Office Support Clerk’s primary function is to ensure efficient, prompt handling of incoming and outgoing mail, and other facility functions.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • Receive daily mail from the courier and sort it for processing and distribution.
  • Distribute company mail in a timely manner.
  • Sort all claims to be scanned and uploaded to Savi for OCR or to be kept in house for manual data entry.
  • Log weekly SCCIPA (HMO & ACO/PPO) & MBIPA production summaries onto a spreadsheet.
  • Date stamp and log incoming deliveries daily (Certified Mail, Express Mail, UPS, FedEx, etc.) onto spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
  • Track miscellaneous incoming and outgoing mail, as necessary.
  • Operate mailroom equipment (postage machine, letter folding & inserting machine, binding machines, laminating machines, etc.)
  • Collect and process outgoing mail for afternoon courier pick-up.
  • Ensure outbound mail is sorted and a corresponding Dept. Code is given to outgoing mail and that the most cost effective way to send the mail is used.
  • Ensure that a monthly report is given to the Finance Dept. with the breakdown of postage spent per Dept. Code.
  • Install partitions, desk fixtures, and other work station equipment.
  • Replenish cases of copy paper at all copiers and printers, and replenish kitchen supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What qualifications you will need:

 

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
