Job Description:

Our growing company company in Sioux Falls, SD is looking to hire an Operations Manager with building materials, millwork or distribution background. This person will play a key role in branch planning and overseeing the team’s progress.  Qualified candidates should have a strong working knowledge of performance and operations management to optimize productivity and employee satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct branch operations emphasizing leadership, accountability, integrity and teamwork.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.
  • Grow sales by building customer relationships and providing excellent customer service.
  • Help with inventory management and oversee warehouse efficiency.
  • Participate in budget development and forecasts.
  • Perform quality control and monitor the warehouse activity.
  • Lead, motivate and support team members.
  • Maintain safe working practices and procedures.

 

  • Job Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Operations Management or related field preferred OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with building materials, millwork or distribution.
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager.
  • Proven team leader.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Team-driven and focused on accountability.
  • Skilled cross-functional communicator.
