Extremely busy Outpatient Drug Treatment clinic is looking for an office assistant to work in our billing department. This is a full-time job.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance information
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Provide support to other staff
- Investigate errors in billing
- Effectively communicate with other staff/counselors, patients and insurance companies (including Medicaid)
- Collect payments from patients and maintain transportation funds
Qualifications:
- Minimum HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to multitask
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel/Word
- Knowledge of Medicaid system and insurance terminology
- Good phone manners
- Detail oriented
- Reliable.
