Job Summary and Qualifications


What you will do in this role:

 
  • As Office Coordinator, you will greet, direct, and assist patients for the department, subscribing to the philosophy that service to the patient is first priority.
  • You will obtain identifying information and proper registration upon patient arrival, placing all pertinent documentation in the patients' chart and into Meditech Admitting.
  • Advise technical or medical staff of very ill / uncomfortable patients, patient problems, or special requests; explain delays and account for all patients.
  • You must notify patient of appointment times, explaining tests / procedures, and / or delays, as appropriate.
  • Your role is responsible for the preparation, the breakdown and the upkeep of patients' paperwork and the Oncology charts.
  • Ability to use professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing job duties is essential for your role.


What qualifications you will need:

 

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1 year of applicable job experience, required
  • Computer/data entry skill with high standards of accuracy and attention to detail, preferred
