RN Supervisor - Board Runner
Shift: Full time No Weekends

Responsibilities and Duties
- Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures, coordinates and supervises the daily planning and implementation of the surgery schedule.
- All activities, both intra and inter departmentally, associated with the efficient and effective management of the daily surgery schedule are coordinated through the Board Supervisor.
- Collaborates and is in constant communication with supervisors, physician offices, pre-admission unit and other hospital departments.
- Additional responsibilities include preparing the OR monthly staff schedule.
- The Board Supervisor has OR staff direct report responsibilities.
- Participates in rotation of supervisor weekend and holiday call.
Education/License/Certification
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. (preferred)
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers with American Heart Association
- Required upon hire (for certifications only: upon hire is defined as within 2 business days of start date)
Experience:
- Minimum of two years specialized nursing experience applicable to the unit. (required)
- Previous supervisory & Board running experience.
- MUST HAVE BOTH LEADERSHIP AND OR EXPERIENCE IN AN ACUTE CARE FACILITY
- Surgery scheduling experience.

- Surgical Services consists of 19 suites.
- This team-oriented unit consists of Surgical Scheduling and Pre-surgical Testing, Surgical Outpatient (preoperative and postoperative), Post Anesthetic Recovery Units, Day Surgery and Endoscopy.
- All types of surgical procedures, including Open Hearts, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric, Robotic, and Minimally Invasive procedures are performed.
- The unit performs approximately 850 cases per month.
