Enjoy the good life in Vermont! The Green Mountain State is one of the healthiest states in the US, with hospitals ranked among the safest in the nation. Middlebury is a delightful New England college town with excellent dining and shopping options, and local entertainment too. The charming village green hosts regular events, and the bridge over the river downtown – with a view of the waterfalls – is a natural place to pause and inhale the good life. Join a community with a “buy-local” spirit, farm-to-table markets, a very low crime rate, and a true neighborly atmosphere! Their superb local schools boast small class sizes and dedicated teachers, graduating young people who are ready to succeed, whether in an Ivy League setting, or on a nearby organic dairy farm.

Middlebury College, a top liberal arts college (founded in 1800), offers outstanding programs in athletics, foreign languages, and fine arts on a picturesque campus adjacent to the hospital. This revered institution enrolls students from all 50 states and more than 70 countries. The Princeton Review ranks Middlebury College a Top 20 school for “Best Quality of Life” – due in part to its home community!

Enjoy life in a rural yet sophisticated community – and join a professional team that is committed to family and individual personal development. Middlebury offers spectacular views of the Green Mountains, with great local snow skiing and snowboarding, with major resorts like Killington just an hour away. The warm seasons offer challenging golf, hiking, cycling, sailing, boating, fishing, hunting, and adventures of every other sort – with breathtaking scenery all around. The “Trail Around Middlebury” is a 16-mile footpath circling the town, and a favorite of walkers, runners, cross-country skiers and snowshoe enthusiasts. Bikers enjoy mountain and trail riding while local waterways invite kayakers to try still- or white-water. Try birdwatching or nature photography, if you prefer – with plenty of prospects!

Middlebury sits between Burlington (Vermont’s largest city, with over 200,000 people and an international airport) and Rutland (under an hour from each), with the Adirondacks to the west, and the Green Mountains to the east. Albany NY is a two hour drive; Manchester NH (largest city in northern New England) and Montreal (second largest city in Canada) are each 2.5 hours away.
