Description
Honolulu, Oahu, HI: We invite an experienced Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join an excellent 100+ bed acute-care medical center on the most populous of the Hawaiian Islands. Ideal candidates will have experience in Inpatient Pediatrics or Neonatal care (NP or RN).
You must be certified as an Acute Care Pediatric NP and have PCNS Certification.
This is an important full time inpatient role! As part of a team, you will provide inpatient care to pediatric patients – newborns through teens – including trauma patients in the ED, general inpatients, and ICU patients – in an attractive location adjacent to Honolulu. You will consult/admit pediatric orthopedic and other surgical patients. You will attend high-risk deliveries/C-Sections, circumcisions, and provide care to normal newborns, with pediatric MD/Neonatology backup. You will also consult on patients in the pediatric inpatient psychiatric unit.
If you’re wondering how your time will be spent, a typical day may look like this: Manage 3-6 normal newborns, attend 1-3 deliveries/C-Sections, see 1-4 pediatric trauma/surgical patients, and conduct 1-4 psychiatry consults.
We are offering:
• Paid relocation to beautiful Hawaii!
• Temporary furnished housing while you transition
• Secure hospital employment
• Progressive medical center near Honolulu
• Friendly, collaborative and supportive environment
• Interesting and rewarding inpatient pediatrics practice
• Very competitive salary
• Paid liability, health and dental insurance

Hawaii welcomes healthcare professionals and their families. Oahu, “the gathering place,” is home to nearly a million people, mostly centered around the capital of Honolulu. Site of Pearl Harbor, Waikiki and Diamond Head, this island is iconic. With truly delightful tropical weather, and over 200 miles of coastline, a day at the beach is always within easy reach! Recreational offerings go beyond swimming, surfing and sailing to include hiking and biking, climbing, fishing, scuba diving, and more. Indulge in yoga on the beach, tennis at a local club, or a variety of locally organized sports such as soccer, softball and volleyball.
Honolulu’s international airport sees 21 million people coming and going from the land of Aloha every year. If you ever think that moving to Hawaii will take you too far from your family and friends, fear not! They will come to visit you, anytime you permit it!
