Job title: Network Automation and Tooling Engineer
Short description: Candidate will be responsible for configuring the network management toolset to ensure proper network device support with respect to data collection, representation, reporting, and overall orchestration workflows.
Experience level: Senior: 5-7 years
Recruitment pipeline: as this position is to be located in NYP

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation workflows using Ansible.
- Write efficient and well-documented Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration changes, deployments, and device state info collection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation needs and implement effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug Ansible automation issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in automation and Ansible.

Required Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, for customizing and extending Ansible functionalities through modules and plugin filters.
- Experience with version control systems like Git for managing Ansible playbooks and roles.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, integrating automation into a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities and optimize existing workflows.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation for playbooks, roles, and automation processes.

Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to using Ansible for network automation tasks, such as configuring routers, and switches
- Familiarity with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform
- Relevant certifications in Ansible or related technologies.
