As the Network Administrator, you will report directly to the IT Manager/Director. The Network Administrator is responsible for the daily management and support of the access control environment for the company. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all network equipment. Additionally, they are responsible to ensure the overall performance of the company’s enterprise systems. The work of the position is wide-ranging and includes the development of application management strategies, database management strategies, improvement of application and database performance and capacity, and planning for future releases for on premise applications and cloud. The Network Administrator is expected to exhibit a high-level of problem-solving ability and resourcefulness and is competent to work independently and with minimal supervision. In addition to performing the key responsibilities of this position, the Network Administrator must exemplify our values and guiding principles to ultimately ensure the fulfillment of our purpose.
In this role the Network Administrator will:
• Create the system process and user accounts for the Company's systems and applications
• Design and implement technical policies for user groups and monitor their use.
• Administer groups and organizational units in the Company's systems and applications to correspond to business units and teams requiring similar access levels.
• Conduct audits of user access and activities from log files.
• Handle account exceptions including lockouts, forgotten passwords, and setup and deactivation.
• Oversee hardware troubleshooting and software problems, take appropriate corrective action and/or interact with security staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support, and troubleshooting functions.
• Interact with vendors and contractors of identity and access management software to ensure appropriate and relevant controls are implemented.
• Work closely with the Sr. Network Engineer/Architect to monitor, manage, and triage any issues that arise with the local and wide-area network solutions between different platforms and protocols.
• Provide required support and recommendations to the Sr. Network Engineer/Architect and IT Manager/Director.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Qualifications)
• 5 or more years of experience in a network administration role
• Expertise in identify and access management controls for O365 and SharePoint environments
• Experience using Apple Business Manager to deploy, and support Apple devices.
• Advanced understanding of network concepts, including IP addresses, ports, routing, packets and the OSI model
• Prior experience in optimizing infrastructure and processes as well as performing routine network operations and maintenance (O&M)
• Confidence in selecting business solutions while maintaining appropriate scrutiny and risk management rigor
• Expertise in analysis of TCP/IP network communication protocols
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting network and configuration issues for LAN, WAN, VPN, SDWAN and VoIP
• Broad range of understanding of IT technologies and data storage concepts and technologies
• Experience identifying and implementing INFOSEC security requirements for network and applications
• Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with tools used for security event and incident analysis
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Programming experience with Shell scripts, python, perl, bash, etc. a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Industry certifications as relevant to the position and certifications must be active
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field highly preferred
