Mortuary Transporter
Job Summary
Drivers will pick up the descendant and transport to funeral homes, coroner's office, crematories, etc. in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures. We teach the techniques necessary to perform this job. You will be working with families of the descendant and our customers that are Funeral Directors, coroner's office and/or PCC Directors.
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for picking up the descendant from hospitals, residences, nursing homes, coroner calls and/or other locations as requested and required and completing all paperwork properly and accurately according to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Transporting the descendant to funeral homes, coroner's office and/or other locations as requested and required and completing all paperwork properly and accurately according to the company’s policies and procedures.
- You will be responsible for keeping your vehicle clean and your appearance must be immaculate and professional according to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Responsibly use STS property including but not limited to vehicles, equipment, gas cards, etc. for job related assignments. It is never acceptable for STS owned property for personal use, unless approved by the owner.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have a High school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver license and clean driving record
- Must pass background check and random and periodic drug tests
- Must be able to lift at least 150 lbs.
- Must be able to work with grieving families and have a great attitude
- Must be able to work with customers like funeral directors, hospice nurses, hospital staff and grieving families, etc.
- United States work Authorization required.
- Language: Must be fluent in English. Spanish speaking is a plus.
