Job Responsibilities

• Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
• Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
• Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
• Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

- Valid Fitness for Duty Certificate from a physician

- Current Vaccination/Immunizations & Flu Shot record

- Active and unrestricted state or Federal license

- Active and unrestricted DEA

- Active BLS and CPR certifications

- 3 References

Locums, Inc. is seeking Family Nurse Practitioners / Physicians Assistants for clinical services in an eastern Arizona clinic that is seeking full-time coverage starting in August of 2021. All state and Federal licenses accepted at all government facilities.

 About the Opportunity:

- 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required

- Period of Performance: 8/30/21 – 12/31/21

- Estimated 2 patients/hour

- Travel, lodging, and per diem provided for non-local providers

- Malpractice Insurance provided

- Walk-In Primary Care Clinic includes providing diagnosis, treatment and medication prescription, immunizations, and follow-up services to local population.

- Located 25 minutes from Chinle, AZ and right next to the Canyon De Chelly National Monument – perfect assignment for folks who love hiking, biking, and outdoor activities.
