Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of duties in support of professional health care personnel such as clerical and medical support duties in Neurology, Vascular and other medical clinic setting.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant CertificateA and BLS required.
  • 2 yearsa experience in physician office or healthcare setting with experience in patient registration, insurance verification, authorizations and co-pay collections.
  • Medical Terminology
  • Successful completion of accredited medical assistant program
  • High school graduate and/or equivalent.
  • Must pass CMA or RMA certification within 6 months of hire into position.
Special Qualifications:
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, communication and telephone etiquette.
  • Relates well with hospital staff, medical staff and public.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bi-lingual with English and Spanish.
