Medical Collector

LINQM is adding a Medical Collector and Biller to the team.

Medical Collector working on collecting from Insurance companies. Experience with working in partnership with insurance companies. Work with the billing team on reviewing codes before they go the insurance companies.
Collections:

• Ensure the effective implementation of collection measures for uncollected accounts
• Contact insurance company regarding billing submission assuring bill has been received
• Contact third party, private payers, and insurance companies in an organized, professional and efficient manner regarding outstanding billing
• Ensure a minimum number of contacts are made daily and documented
• Work with team on denials and escalations
• Follow-up on outstanding billings

 
Billing side:

• Analyze accounts to determine payment amounts and prepare billing statements
• Gain a working knowledge of insurance billing processes
• Run weekly and monthly reports to prepare billable data in advance of billing and provider statistics for billed and unbilled data
• Analyze billing data prior to submission to ensure quality
• Collaborate with team members to make sure billing is accurate

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Excel Experience working with Filters, Entering Data, Updating Spreadsheets
• Preferred knowledge or understanding of billing and collection processes
• Collaborative, team player, winning attitude
• Work well with deadlines
• Someone that is organized
