Position: Medical Assistant / Receptionist
Schedule/Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week

Position Summary:

Are you fun and passionate?  Do you love working with others?  Are you self-motivated and go beyond the call of duty?  Then, we want you!  The Spiegel Center & Newton Surgery are looking for another superstar to join their world-renowned team of experts in Facial Plastic Surgery.

The primary purpose of this position is to establish an ongoing relationship with patients who travel from around the globe for our services and assist the doctors with a busy clinical schedule.   This person will assist patients through the entire visit experience, including welcoming patients, reviewing concerns, obtaining medical history and booking associated appointments, direct patient flow, assist patients to and from exam rooms, enter medical data into patient charts, clean & prep rooms, remove sutures, clean and sterilize instruments, maintain medical stock, help with post-op patient care, take photos and obtain consents for procedures.  This is a role that requires excellent problem solving, multi-tasking and experience with medical assisting & customer service.  This individual must be poised, professional, quick thinking, passionate and charismatic. 


Primary role duties include (but not limited to):
Answer phone calls and rout calls to the correct person

Prequalify and answer phone and email inquiries

Welcome and assist patients during their visits while reviewing question and concerns

Greet visitors and decide if they should meet with executives

Establish strong relationships and communication with patients in the office and via phone

Receive and distribute mail, emails, faxes and other correspondence

Directing patient and provider flow during clinic

Assist patients to and from exam rooms

Enter medical data into patient charts

Clean rooms

Set up exam rooms for procedures

Clean and sterilize instruments

Maintain medical stock in clinic

Maintain OSHA and HIPPA compliance within the practice

Help with post-op patient care

Take photos and obtain consents for procedures

Keep patient lounge, office and surgical suite organized and tidy

Scan, upload and shred documents

Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making skills

Work with the team to create and meet quarterly and yearly goals

Anticipate patients and practice needs and much more!

 

CMA certification is required.
