Combi Packaging is searching for a qualified individual to add to our team as a Mechanical Engineer - Capital Equipment. In this role, the Mechanical Engineer will develop new products, processes, machinery, and equipment for packaging applications.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing projects from initial design concept through production, ensuring project objectives are met
- Supporting business development with Sales, by working directly with customer engineering & internal/external manufacturing teams to develop & specify the product
- Completing & releasing product designs (models & drawings) which meet customer requirements and internal best practices, into internal and customer CAD systems
- Becoming a subject matter expert to provide exceptional customer support & robust designs
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, communicating project status to critical project stakeholders, and escalating concerns when appropriate
- Maintaining accurate product development records
- Working with project team to develop and update documentation per customer requirements
- Traveling as required to interface with customer engineering and manufacturing bases
Qualifications and Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Inventor
- 3+ years of hands on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
