Meals On Wheels (MOW) Delivery Driver- Part time

Northern Area Multi-Service Center is dedicated to serving our community by providing nutritious meals to home bound individuals through our Meals on Wheels program. We believe that every person should have access to healthy and delicious food, and we are looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Job Description :

• Safely and efficiently delivering meals to our clients' homes. We deliver meals in Allegheny County including McKees Rocks, North Side, and North Hills
• Providing friendly and supportive interactions with clients during deliveries.
• Conducting wellness checks and reporting any concerns to the program coordinator.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal pickups.

Job requirements :

• Valid PA Driver's license with safe driving record is required. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Availability for weekday shifts Mon/Wed/Fri either 7:00 am- 3:00 pm or 8:00 am- 4:00pm.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to operate a smart phone for driving navigation.
• Applicant must also have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures is a plus.

The Transportation Department of NAMS provides transit services to the City of Pittsburgh and the suburbs of northern Allegheny County from 6 a.m. until midnight 365 days a year for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Wheelchair vans and passenger vehicles are available depending on riders’ needs.

Organizations serviced by the NAMS Transportation Department include:

• NAMS programs
• Allegheny County Department of Aging
• ACCESS Transportation Systems of Allegheny County
• Department of Public Welfare

Transportation services are provided in conjunction with ACCESS.
