Summary/Objective

RWD Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic. This position is located in Washington DC at the GSA facility 3801 Nebraska Ave NW. Under the direct supervision of the Site Chief Engineer, the HVAC will be working in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to corporate and plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. A commitment to carrying out the company's quality policy is required. The HVAC must focus on customers' expectations, prevent problems and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers and other employees.

Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to): Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment in his/her specialty qualification. The qualified HVAC will be designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair HVAC equipment or systems. Have working knowledge of Carrier, Trane, Mitsubishi, York, Liebert II, Split systems and others. Shall maintain at least the minimum hours of continuing education annually from either a NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider program.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in the field/location of assignment. 
 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This would require the ability to lift to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required bend or stand as necessary, with considerable amounts of walking carrying small tool for trade and or supply materials.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00PM (subject to modification with prior notice)

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role or related field.
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a GSA/DHS Security Clearance.
• Shall possess one of following certifications:
  • North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVACR Service Technician Certification
  • HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification
  • UA Star HVACR Mastery Certification
  • Journeyman HVAC

Preferred Education and Experience

• • Master HVAC Certification / License
  • Understanding and working Knowledge of BAS
