Job Description:

Do you love marketing and marketing technology? Are you a problem solver? Are you driven by data (getting it, and acting on it)? Are you looking to join a small team where there is never a dull moment? Then this might be the place for you. Our Marketing Operations Manager is someone who knows that an effective marketing strategy requires a lot of different pieces coming together – and thrives on making it happen!

At Lightspeed Systems we are on a mission to protect our students. We do this by empowering IT so they can transform digital devices and content into learning tools for students, teachers, and staff.  We’re looking for an experienced and data-driven marketer to join our marketing team as a Marketing Operations Manager. At Lightspeed Systems, you’ll find a team of collaborators and doers, eager for your ideas, and your perspective. We are a dedicated and passionate group, always striving to do more, and we need you to help us grow into our new phase and beyond.

In this role, you’ll join an experienced and collaborative marketing team and focus on building the digital marketing strategy, configuring systems, automating, implementing, and optimizing our campaigns. This position may be based out of either our Austin or Portland office.

The Role

  • Setup and manage our marketing tech stack (Pardot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Drift, plus whatever comes next)
  • Drive digital demand generation campaigns in partnership with creative, brand, and logistics teams
  • Lead the strategy and implementation of our lead nurturing campaigns and programs, including engagement programs, form creation, gated content, and more
  • Create unique buyer’s journeys that resonate with each customer, including the use of Account-Based Marketing strategies
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance across all channels to understand the effectiveness of strategies and tactics for improving engagement, and conversion.
  • Develop and refine our lead scoring model
  • Use data to measure success and constantly iterate and improve
  • Partner with our Salesforce Administrator to connect our marketing data to our Salesforce Leads, Accounts, and Campaigns
  • Focus on the marketing funnel top to bottom, increasing our conversions at every step of the way

About you

  • Has a growth mindset and knows what a growth mindset is.
  • Be flexible and adaptable at all times as you go in and out of full independence and then into deep collaboration.
  • Relish the opportunity to be an integral part of a team, but also like to roll your sleeves up and do the daily work of creating.
  • Enjoy an agile workflow that helps balance long-term projects with immediate needs.
  • Think holistically, in a user-centric fashion, with a sharp eye for detail and consistency.
  • Thoroughly believes that the devil is in the details and is confident they can get those details right.
  • Is technologically savvy and can understand how to use new software like a fish to water.
  • Can manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, from concepts to deliverables.
  • Always be looking for new ways to engage our customers and users - and taking the initiative to bring new projects to life.
  • Dive into nitty gritty details as neasily as big picture creative brainstorming
  • Comfortable with feedback and adapts quickly to changing information.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Compelling record of managing marketing automation systems and google analytics to achieve increased conversions.
  • A firm belief that automation must seem personal (not like a robot) in order to net results.

Role Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of marketing experience either in a demand generation or a marketing operations role
  • Complete mastery of marketing automation platforms and Salesforce
  • Strong operational and analytical skills, a data driven mindset, and a relentless desire for continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to collaborate well across teams
  • Outstanding attention to detail and project management
  • REQUIRED: Include a cover letter to tell us why you think you & Lightspeed could be a perfect match. (This is a marketing role; pitch us. Resumés without cover letters won’t be considered.)
