As the Events Manager you will be responsible to manage and execute corporate events, conferences, trade shows, VIP meetings for our Fortune 500 clients. You will also be providing administrative support to our dynamic sales team with client proposal, budgeting and client management.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage event logistic plans for various conference and marketing activities for our Fortune 500 clients.
- Assist in the implementation and management of all systems for event registration, onsite solutions, trade show logistics, promotional item inventory, booth hardware inventory and mobile applications.
- Coordinate events, meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and organizing requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; managing mailing lists to ensure event success.
- Support sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information; relaying customer services requests.
- Researches advertising; maintaining research databases. competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and
- Monitor budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with critical agency partners and employees.
- Manage and further develop the temporary team reporting into this role or specific event.
- Lead the development of complete event presentations: air travel, ground transportation, meals, gala events, activities, production and gift programs.
Desired Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- 5-7 years of experience in event planning with job related responsibilities in marketing, trade shows and/or corporate events.
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Spanish.
- Commitment to customer service (internal and external).
- Highly detail oriented with superb organizational skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task with results-oriented mindset.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Available for travel when needed.
- Exhibit initiative and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Must be flexible and understand that multiple changes will be required through the event planning process given the nature of the business
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, hospitality/event management, marketing/advertising, communications, or a related discipline.
