Job Summary
Combi Packaging has an exciting opportunity at our brand new facility in North Canton for Machinist to operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal and plastic parts. This is a production oriented, job shop environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, BOMs, and specifications
- Operate manual and computer controlled machinery to shape steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, plastic, and other materials
- Write and modify basic programs as needed
Qualifications
- HSD/GED required
- Completion of formal training in the machinist trade, such as vocational schooling, technical schooling, or apprenticeship program
- A minimum of one year of experience as a machinist
- Ability to read conversational programming code
- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail
