Job Summary:
Operate machines used in the production of automotive wheel bearings.
Essential Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Start-up and shut-down machines according to procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and adjust machines in a grinding, assembly, or broach and turning line via switches, buttons, and displays.
- Using hand tools, change worn machine accessories such as grinding wheels, finishing stones, and tool inserts.
- Visually inspect components and parts for defects, sort and disassemble defect parts.
- Measure components and parts with precision dial indicators or other instruments to ensure they meet customer requirements and machines are operating correctly..
- Observe line operation to detect causes of part defects or specific machine malfunctions and provide machine repair technicians with information.
Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
- Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Respond promptly to a sound or light signal when it occurs.
- Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
Shift availability:
2nd shift: 3pm - 11:10pm (Monday - Friday)
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.95
3rd Shift: 11pm - 7:10am (Monday - Friday)
Hourly Pay Rate: $18.50
