What We're Looking For
Desired Education
- Bachelors in PR, English, Creative Writing, Journalism or related major
- GPA above a 3.5
General Knowledge
- Solid understanding of the search engines, copywriting, customer service and Internet technologies
- Basic understanding of keyword research and selection (Desired)
- Basic understanding of SEO (Desired)
Experience
- General web marketing experience
- Internship/part-time/summer job/ experience
- Blogging experience
- Basic HTML or image editing experience
- Customer service experience in any industry
- Administrator/moderator of a forum or blog (A bonus)
Qualities
- Outstanding written communication skills
- High level of research skills and resourcefulness
- Demonstrates ability to get things done
- Self-learner and independent
- Critical thinking
- Continuously follows up on content placement pitches that weren’t successful the first or second time
- An avid book-reader or content learner
What You'll Do
- Coordination of content creation and placement
- Build relationships with bloggers, publishers, and journalists based on our clients’ industries
- Research and pitch created content ideas to bloggers, publishers, and journalists
- Learn, test, and implement new SEO content and linking best practices
- Post original content relevant to our clients’ keywords and SEO campaigns
- Generate ideas and conduct research for infographics, motion graphics, blog posts and other viral content
- Uses web analytics to determine the impact of content campaigns
- Ability to manage content creation workflow
- Ability to think critically and creatively to pitch content based on our clients’ SEO keywords
- Ability to meet and exceed monthly production goals
- Client interaction: The Jr. Content Marketer role is not a client-facing position

Compensation
- $33,000 to $36,000 (potentially higher based on work experience)
- Potential additional bonus may be offered for GPA's of 3.8+ & graduating with high honors
