As a Senior Electric Drives Systems Engineer, for the John Deere Enterprise, you will define functional and detailed software requirements and coordinate the software development and implementation with vehicle platforms, John Deere Electronic Solutions, and external suppliers. This software will run on electric drive electronics, such as: inverters, converters, vehicle supervisory controllers, and battery management systems used on agriculture vehicles worldwide. While this engineer does not write software, you will:

4 year of Product Engineering experience
3 years of software development experience or requirements development experience
Ability to write feature, functional, and detailed software requirements of significant magnitude
Ability to constructively work with suppliers or internal teams on the implementation of software
Ability to develop software test plans
Embedded software development experience with vehicle systems
Proficient user of MATLAB/Simulink for model-based design
Technical experience relating to the design and development electric drive systems
