Title: Information Technology Specialist
Location: Akron
Salary: 60-90K
Position Summary
This position will work towards the
development and implementation of a strategic technology roadmap
that logically
leads the company to:
* Effectively support the
demands of our customers
* Integrate future acquisitions
* Support both local and remote
workers in multiple facilities
* Transition company into use of
Microsoft office 365 and Microsoft Azure services
Purpose of Role:
* Efficiently maintain company
IT infrastructure
* Ensure company data is secure
and backed up appropriately
* Investigate and present
opportunities to promote greater productivity among staff
* Ensure the continuity of
productive and impactful technological advances within the
company
* Provide support to production
staff through the preventative maintainence of the laboratory
inventory
management system
* Provide infrastructure support
to IT development staff
* Provide office/remote staff
support in regards to reliable hardware, software and
infrastructure
* Model and lead the IT culture
of self-reliance, vigilant secureity practices, and collaboration
* Lead company migration to
cloud based technology
General Responsibilities:
* Design, update and maintain
all company infrastructure including: Servers, SAN, Routers,
Swithces and phone
system
* Update, maintain and test
backup systems and disaster recovery plan
* Configure and update Domain,
Routers, Firewalls, Email System, Antivirus solution, and servers
* Develop, communicate and
enforece IT use policies
* Plan and manage hardware
lifeycle
* Assist with help desk level 2
issues
* Troubleshoot system related
bugs
* Provide Executive Management
Technology awareness
* Help desk technician coaching,
development and management
Position Requirements:
* 5-10 Years in previous IT
roles with proof of progression
* Competency/experience with the
following technologies:
* Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016)
* Windows Active Directory and Domain
* MS Exchange 2016 (on-premises)
* Veeam backup (9.5)
* Bitdefender
* Fiber Internet from Fusion
* ShoreTel VOIP (build 21.82.2142.0)
* Microsoft SQL (2005, 2008)
* Cisco Routers
* VMWare (vSphere 6.5)
* SAN SCv3000 3Ux16 Drive Storage Array
* Ability to work on-site at the
Strongsville office
Required Skills:
* Ability to identify and
partner with appropriate outside vendors as required to increase
technological
competenices
* Ability to work independently
and multitask, with little supervision, in a fast paced
environment
