University of Michigan ITS Summer Internship

Role Description

 

ITS is a large organization with hundreds of services that support students, faculty, staff, alumni, and researchers. We have technical and non-technical opportunities in a variety of disciplines, including customer service, desktop support, administration, project management, software development, infrastructure, networking, communications, business analysis, planning, and security. You will be matched to a department based on your interests and skills. Potential roles include:

  • Business System Analyst: Interview stakeholders and document and analyze business requirements using standards methodologies.

  • Project Manager: Plan what work needs to be done on a project, when and who's going to do the work and manages any risks with a project using ITS project management methodology and tools.

  • System Administrator: Responsible for support of the operating system infrastructures and related technical components of enterprise UNIX, Linux and Windows systems.

  • User Experience Designer: Performs User research and testing, design, prototyping, and analysis.
     

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Undergraduate or Graduate Degree or Certificate Program

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Creative problem-solving skills
