We have partnered with a healthcare company in the San Diego, CA area to provide them with an Information Security Engineer.

Responsibilities of the Information Security Engineer:
Assist in developing and implementing enterprise-level information security policies and standards.
Lead information security awareness activities.
Assist in remediating security issues, perform forensic investigations as needed, and facilitate incident response communication between stakeholders.
Serve as the subject matter expert to FHCSD’s functional groups and project teams.
Develop and provide for the security monitoring and incident response processes, i.e., event correlation and detection, endpoint detection and response, threat detection and response, etc.
Provide customizing security orchestration tools, and oversee security incidents.
Provide administrative support related to vulnerability scans, security awareness and phishing, centralized log management, infrastructure and systems configuration hardening, and role-based access controls.
Determine business requirements and provide secure solutions within Cloud Security, Secure SDLC/AppSec, Network Security, Configuration Management, Security Architecture and Strategy.
Due to critical operational events, response to issues after hours on short notice in the event of a security incident is expected.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Information Security Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related field required.
Preferred certifications include: Information Security Best-Practice Certifications - CISSP (or SSCP), CISM (or CISA), Security+, Technology Certifications – MSCE (or MCSA), SNSA, Sophos Certified Engineer, AVSE, IT Organizational Best Practices – ITILv4 (or v3), LeanIT, SixSigma Greenbelt, ISO 27001.
3 to 5 years of experience in information system security administration or information engineering roles. Or equivalent level of experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job duties.
Ability to act as an escalation point for all issues related to Information Security operations and security incident response.
Ability to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for security tools, trends, and best practice methodologies.
Must meet organizational driving req0uirements.
