Job Description:

TemperaturePro Northern Virginia is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will be based out of our Falls Church, VA office and is responsible for providing on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of their equipment.

The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the client – Oversee all network services and perform tests on equipment and circuits. Troubleshoot issues and resolve any requests or concerns that come up in a timely manner. Perform tests to ensure systems are error-free. Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines.
  • Equipment and service – Troubleshoot each problem and guide customers on how to properly use equipment. Create reports of customer service calls. Make suggestions for equipment upgrades while maintaining the current inventory, including vans and trucks
  • Other Duties - Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or certification preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the customer and display excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manager
  • Ability to lift to 55 pounds
  • Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Computer skills including Microsoft office
  • Knowledgeable about all safety requirements
  • CFC Certification
  • Journeyman License Preferred
  • Possess great mechanical aptitude
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical instructions and follow blueprints
  • Three years experience at a journey-level maintaining, repairing, and operating HVAC equipment in addition to experience maintaining, operating, and repairing air conditioning and ventilating equipment
  • Possession of valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly applied in repairing air conditioning and heating equipment in commercial and residential buildings
  • Strong knowledge of principles of operation of air conditioning and heating systems, and safety practices concerning HVAC work
  • Strong ability to diagnose equipment and determine if a repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.
  • Strong ability to perform assigned tasks independently
  • Have tools
