Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Salary: DOE

 

Job Summary of the Human Resources Manager: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for helping to create the HR Department.  Daily responsibilities for recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager:

  • Recruitment and Hiring: Managing job postings, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.
  • Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns, managing performance, and overseeing disciplinary actions.
  • Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Training and Development: Developing and implementing training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
  • Payroll and Compensation: Managing payroll processing, salary adjustments, and other compensation-related tasks.
  • Employee Records: Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • HS & College Career Fairs and recruiting.

 

Education & Experience of the Human Resources Manager:

  • HS Diploma or GED is required.  Associates' or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 + years Human Resources experience, particularly in areas of recruitment, employee relations, and benefits.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are required.
  • Experience starting up an HR department is desired.
