This position is responsible for developing and maintaining an employee relations climate that creates and permits a stable and productive workforce
Perform all required activities to ensure successful and accurate employee time capture, accurate and timely payroll operation, including attendance and PTO record keeping
Manages and coordinates all functions of employee relations, including employment, labor relations, compensation and benefits services, workforce planning, training and development, safety and health management, security, and workers compensation for compliance with federal and state regulations
Create and conduct programs for benefits open enrollment, changes to timekeeping and payroll procedures, performance evaluations, HR audits, wage, and salary surveys
New hire training and orientation
Lead, manage and develop the human resources team
Implement and monitor all aspects of warehouse safety programs
Function as the primary point of contact for any OSHA inquiries and investigations
Plans, implements, and conducts injury prevention, safety, and compliance training and presentations
Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive safety & health programs with an emphasis on positive safety culture
Investigate safety incidents and recommend corrective and preventative action
Complete required background checks on all candidates
Advise supervisors on appropriate disciplinary actions
Represent employees views and needs to management
Requirements
A Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience.
Experience of knowledge of Safety and Health
Experience supervising is preferred
Experience in a manufacturing, distribution or industrial environment
Excellent communication and group presentation skills
Extensive attention to detail to distinguish safety hazards
