Guitar Instructor

We are searching for a driven, ambitious, rigorous, and energetic guitar instructor to join our awesome team! As one of our guitar instructors, you will prepare lessons for students of all ages and levels. Duties include teaching acoustic, electric, and/or bass. You should have knowledge of music theory and be able to develop engaging lessons.
 

To be successful as a guitar instructor, you should be comfortable working with students of different ages and skill levels. Our students range from the ages of four (4) to eighty-two (82).

• Performing short assessments during students' first session
• Guiding students through lessons using a variety of exercises and assigning homework.
• Establishing professional, long-lasting relationships with students.
• Communicating with parents after each lesson (brief 1-2 min interactions) to inform them of the student's progress

• We ask that our instructors have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. A graduate degree in Music is considered a plus.
• Previous teaching and/or performing experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills.
• The ability to motivate students when required.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• A personable manner and a high degree of professionalism.
• Driven and disciplined.
• Knowledge of music theory is required.
• Being a multi-instrumentalist with strong grasp of several instruments (or voice) and music theory is a plus
