Part Time CNA

We are looking for a Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide the best quality care to enrich the lives of our developmentally/intellectually disabled population. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting each of our participants with meals/tube feedings, activities of daily living and hygienic care needs. You will need to be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. Shift Time:

• Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

Responsibilities of the job include (but not limited to):

• Performing wheelchair transfers and re-positioning for intellectually disabled and medically frail adults
• Perform adult diaper changes
• Perform range of motion exercises under supervision of the licensed therapists
• Assist with meals and tube feedings for intellectually disabled and medically frail adults
• Perform recreational therapies/activities (art, music, activities of daily living instruction, etc.)
• Ability to use a Hoyer lift once trained onsite
• Written documentation of all services performed for the CBAS program participants

Required work experience:

• At least 1 year of caregiving as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in a health care facility 

Skills required for the job:

• Able to read and write English for documentation in program participant flow sheets, communication books, etc.
• Perform ambulation with gait belts on ambulatory participants
• Perform wheelchair transfers, adult diaper changes and re-positioning for participants.
• Assist participants with oral feedings (training received on site for tube feedings)

Licenses/Certifications required for the job:

• Must have a current California CNA license prior to job start
• Must have a current CPR and First Aid certifications prior to job start

Compensation is negotiable based upon experience in caregiving

Drug testing, pre-employment physical, Tuberculin screening, and background check are all required before job start
