You will be a key player in driving effective administrative excellence and maintaining a pleasant and professional work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Ensure that proper coverage is maintained for the front desk at all times.
  • Assure that the residents and their families are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Understand, demonstrate and promote Sunnyside Gardens values of compassion, kindness and service.
  • Maintain the Community’s resident files as required by State Licensing and other governing requirements.
  • Monitor and screen all visitors. Ensure all visitors sign the log book upon entering and exiting the building.
  • Sort and distribute mail; route special packages.
  • Accept and report resident’s special maintenance requests.
  • Observe and report information regarding resident wellness issues to appropriate management staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Speak using clear and professional language
  • Prepare/review/maintain written documents accurately and completely.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Proficient with computer.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to remain flexible and have the ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Will be required to pass Health/TB pre-employment physical
  • Will be required to pass FBI/ Dept of Justice -Criminal Records Clearance.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently so as to ensure the safety of our residents.
  • Willingness to learn more about geriatrics and their needs.
  • Must possess patience and compassionate nature and professional appearance and presentation.
  • Effective and efficient understanding of MS Office and PC
  • Accurate data entry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting up to 4-8 hours a day

Standing from sitting position regularly and walking

Walking up to 20% of the shift

Sitting up to 100%

Lifting up to 45lbs
 

Bending to file, stooping, kneeling; will twist at waist; grasp/push and pull; a clear speaking voice to welcome guests and answer phones; ability to see to ensure the safety and security of our residents.

Job Type: Part-Time Position

Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

 

Administrative Duties:

  • Answering and routing phone calls
  • Greeting visitors

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends required
  • Holidays required
