Financial Advisor

Our client is a boutique broker-dealer and RIA headquartered in Baltimore. Founded in 1990, the firm models itself after the quality regional firms of old, providing low cost, full service, and support to independent financial advisors. They offer experienced, conservative management and pride ourselves on personal service both to our representatives, and their clients.
 

The qualified Financial Advisor (4+ years in business) will have the opportunity to continue to build his/her business within a structured program with access to outstanding market and growth opportunities.
 

In addition to a strong financial model, we will provide the candidate with coaching and guidance to help define a path to success and work successfully with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

This is a 100% commission based opportunity that will allow you to keep 95% of your annual billings of anything over 250K.
The target salary listed is an example of the minimum and average target range....
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow own book of business while identifying and executing opportunities with the partnering benefits firm
• Develop a thorough understanding of each client's financial situation in order to create and deliver suitable investment strategies
• Identify the appropriate risk tolerance, discuss appropriate savings or spending strategies and provide additional financial planning solutions as needed
• Provide both verbal and written plans to communicate the recommended solutions following firm guidelines
• Promote professional development by maintaining an in-depth understanding of financial planning, capital markets and the financial services industry
• Stay abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive, and technical) within the fields of investments and financial services
• Maintain all required licenses and designations
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of compliance, regulatory and departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years related financial planning and client relationship management experience
• 4-year related degree
• Exceptional client relationship management skills - both internal and external client facing
• Positive attitude with the ability to effectively manage change and adapt in a continual and rapidly changing environment
