DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The Accounting department is responsible for reporting the financial results of multiple entities with multiple locations and currencies.  We maintain the accounting daily operations of multiple entities with multiple locations and currencies.  This includes Accounts Receivable and Revenue Recording, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Internal Controls, Reporting and Financial Statements, Treasury and Tax Compliance.
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING ANALYST role reports to the Senior Accountant and requires a reliable professional with Accounting and Financial Planning knowledge. The candidate will perform monthly and quarterly analysis of the Company’s operational expenses, participate in the budgeting process and collaborate in the month and year-end closing procedures such as the internal financial package preparation.
 

REQUIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Monitor monthly expenses to verify they are within budget. Review agreements submitted for finance approval to assure they are within budget.
  • Participate in the Company’s budget process as design by the Finance team.
  • Review and discuss departmental expense analysis with business partners.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of monthly internal financial packages to be presented to Senior Management, including the analysis and investigation of variances of actual amounts vs budget and financial statements’ variances; as well as other reports requested by Senior Management.
  • Assist with the preparation of Financial Statements for various entities under different accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.) and collaborate in the preparation of work papers to external auditors and assist in the response to any questions regarding audit and budget.
  • Prepare forecast analysis of operational expenses.
  • Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing processes including review of general ledger postings.
  • Continue maintaining and gaining technical knowledge of accounting guidance to assist in the implementation of new accounting guidance and in the draft of technical memos to sustain our accounting positions.
  • Maintain accounting procedures and policies documentation up to date.
  • Reconcile and prepare reports relating to the Company’s equity cap table and analyses on equity dilution
  • Ascertain the Company’s equity records are correct by performing quarterly /monthly reviews of the information.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergrad degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven work experience as an accounting professional or FP&A analyst and knowledge of different accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS), consolidation and foreign currency accounting.
  • Experience in a top accounting firm or corporation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (NetSuite/Oracle preferred) and MS Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle various projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an attention to detail.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA or CFA preferred
