JOB TITLE: File Transfer Protocol Solutions (FTPS)

JOB DESCR:

This is a C-C Opportunity. NO OPT.

8+ years of experience in File Transfer Protocol Solutions (FTPS) subject matter expert for tool evaluation (GIS, Redwood, IIS) projects.

This is an immediate need because the tool decision has to be made in the next two weeks.

They are currently working on deciding on enterprise FTPS (File Transfer Protocol Solutions tool that they are going to implement and across the organization.

They are evaluating GIS ( IBM Sterling), Redwood and IIS ( one of them will become the official FTPS solutions for Ryder. The decision on the tool they will go with will be made in the next week or so.

So basically, he needs a SME Consultant to own this project and be able to consolidate efforts from the different teams and basically set up the governance, and supporting model around the FTPS, for the organization.

He needs a self- starter, with extensive experience in this area, be able to put together the documents/ process, regulatory compliance work with security and network team(s) on creating network protocols, encryptions, content, etc.. to the organization and be able to work with little to no supervision. This will basically assure another layer of encrypted security to the enterprise and also create Encryption as a 2 way function across the enterprise.

Data centers to backup servers using NetBackup and Data Domain products. Additionally, coordinates with managed service providers to ensure quality backups in our managed data centers. What you'll do
Manages the deployment of an enterprise managed file transfer system
Works to integrate the enterprise managed file transfer system with other software platforms throughout the organization
Works with both internal and external file transfers
Works hand in hand with project managers, other engineers, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and in budget
Develops documentation for requirements, architectural designs, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as operational policies and procedures
Develops and documents best practices for system installation, deployment, and operation
Manages technology proof of concept selection criteria, evaluation, and testing
Explores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organization
Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the project teams All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training


Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
Basic / Advanced understanding of API Integration and Global Load Balancer
PowerShell Scripting Experience
Automation Tools experience
1 year of experience with any Private or Public clouds

Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
Knowledge of file transfer procedures
Understanding of FTP/SFTP Software
Experience with the following protocols – SFTP, FTPS, FTP, SSH, and PGP
Experience with DevOps Model
Demonstrates good judgment and experience in technology selection and implementation
