Fiber Optic Technician

Technician will be required to follow specific instructions and complete task with no additional supervision needed. This is contract based work that will provide the applicant with an ability to earn a comfortable income, while still having the flexibility & freedom to enjoy a healthy work-life balance. Looking for previous technician or cabling experience.***Must have tools and reliable transportation.***

*Technician will be required to know 12 fiber colors, how to terminate and test fiber ( mechanical & fusion splicing ).
*Have experience terminating both single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
*Technician but be familiar with terms such as LIU, MPOE, DEMARC, Bulkhead, circuit ID, LC, ST, SC, and FC 


 

• 66 & 110 Punch-down tool
• RJ45 & RJ11 Termination tool
• Network Mapper
• Tone & Probe
• Screwdrivers ( Hex, Torx, Philips, Flat )
• Phone with mobile data plan to upload photos
• Socket Set
• Level
• Keyhole saw

ADDITIONAL TOOLS:

• Laptop
• Console Cable
• Ladder (10-12 ft)
