Company Description:
Rituals Aveda Salon owners Elsa and Jonathan Mosco have been with Aveda since 1983.
The mother and son team opened the first salon in the Tampa Bay area to offer the Aveda experience. Elsa originally opened up One Mane Place Salon in South Pasadena in 1976. After substantial growth, she moved the salon to the Tyrone Mall area of St. Petersburg in 1994, where it operated until change of ownership in 2006.
In 2007, Elsa and Jonathan embarked on a new salon venture, opening Rituals Aveda Salon in Clearwater, Florida, which still thrives today. In 2010, the Moscos opened a second Rituals Aveda Salon location in Tampa, Florida, but soon sold that salon so they could take over what was then Create Salon—returning to their roots and back to the area where it all started in 1976.
“It’s been a long journey in the salon industry,” says Elsa. “It’s great to be back home to our roots where it all started—where we feel a part of the community and can reconnect with all the people we know.”
