YOUR DAY TO DAY:

Perform a variety of technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining and calibrating electronic and mechanical equipment following established procedures while working under general supervision. 

 

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:  

  • Performs a variety of electronic, mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions.
  • Operates related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to tune, test and troubleshoot specific equipment.
  • Uses pre-determined methods, sequences, and set-ups to visually inspect or test specific equipment making necessary modifications and adjustments as necessary.
  • Recommends changes or modifications to improve general operation or the quality of equipment making necessary modifications and adjustments as needed.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks on electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • Makes adjustments and modifications to specific equipment repairs or replaces malfunctioning units as required.
  • Conducts a variety of engineering tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Designs and improvises a variety of electronic and mechanical tools, fixtures, and equipment as required.
  • Provides technical assistance and leadership as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

 

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • Associate degree in appropriate technology or equivalent technical training, or the combination of training and related experience of 3-5 years.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity. 
  • May be required to work with voltages higher than 10,000 volts.
  • Able to lift to a maximum of 40 lbs.
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
