English Teacher

• Plan and implement instructional programs in English for grades 5 through 6.
• Manage student behavior and assess student achievement.
• Modify instructional activities as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and utilize multimedia and technology.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
• Support school-wide activities and events.
• Ensure compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.

• Bachelor's degree in middle grades education focusing on English or eligibility for conditional English certification (English major or minimum of 30 credits in English courses).
• Valid professional teaching certificate appropriate for English.
• Knowledge of federal laws protecting students with disabilities.
• Familiarity with content, curriculum, and instructional methods in English.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons aligned with objectives and student needs.
• Proficiency in classroom management and monitoring student behavior.
