Our volunteer adult squad is comprised of DRIVERS and EMTs who pilot and staff our ambulances during Greater Newton's 911 medical emergencies.
No experience necessary! All training provided!
In the mid 1950s, Newton Memorial Hospital administration approached a bright group of civic leaders to replace the over-burdened hospital ambulance service.
Today, the Newton First Aid Squad is requested to nearly 2,300 medical emergencies annually. We are proud to not only be Sussex County's busiest, fastest, and most progressive EMS agency but also the 2018 NJ Outstanding EMS Agency!
