Educational Solutions – EMT school is just the beginning. At LLAS you are offered Advanced Medical Life Support, Pre-Hospital Life Support, Tactical EMS and numerous other EMS courses…all for FREE. All recertification is completed through the 100% company funded educational platform, Prodigy EMS. Prodigy provides all live and distributive education that you need to keep up your EMS certification at no charge to you, when you can complete the course. Gone are the days of sitting in “refreshers” that are inconvenient, expensive and boring. Additionally, Prodigy EMS is the sole education platform we use internally during orientation, annual training and provider updates.

EMS Leadership Workshop Series – Leaders in the EMS and Healthcare fields provide 4-hour workshops to the future leaders of tomorrow. Learn from EMS and Healthcare Academics, Physicians and Administrators. Open to Coop Students and Residency employees.

Shadowing Program – LLAS introduces employees to Physicians at Boston teaching hospitals and provides shadow shifts for those interested in Healthcare careers and Medical School.  Open to Coop Students and Residency Employees

Special Event Details
EMS details provide EMS coverage at special events. Gillette stadium has an influx of over 65,000 people during football events. The towns of Milton, Dedham and Brookline have an increase of thousands of residents at parades and community events. As a result LifeLine schedules “Detail Shifts”  to provide the extra EMS coverage required to serve the special population.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL

Must be 18 years of age

CURRENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Valid driver’s license from state of residence

Current State EMT Certification in the state for which you are working

Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR Certification

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• 1. Visual acuity meeting the vision requirements as set by the Registry of Motor Vehicles in the state for which you are working, even if licensed outside of the state.
• 2. Ability to listen and comprehend spoken/written word.
• 3. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• 4. Memory (Long & Short Term).
• 5. Ability to work with others.
• 6. Ability to handle stress.
• Ability to problem-solve.

OTHER

• 1. A valid copy of the candidate’s driving record, obtained from the Registry of Motor Vehicles from the state in which the license was issued, needs to be submitted to Human Resources.
• a. The driving record must be dated within the 4-week period prior to the scheduled interview with Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Based on 8 – 24-hour shift

• Frequently lifting with two hands up to 125-pounds. •
• Frequently stepping up and down.
• Frequently carrying up to 50-pounds. •
• Frequently bending, squatting or kneeling.
• Frequently pushing up to 250-pounds. •
• Wear protective equipment including respirators and gloves.
• Frequently pulling up to 150-pounds. •
• Continuously sitting for a minimum of 1-hour.
• Frequently reaching forward.
• Frequently standing or walking.
