Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Location: Flagstaff, AZ, including travel across the Hopi & Diné (Navajo) Nations
Supervisor: Workforce & Education Manager

The Opportunity
As a skilled member of the team, the Electrician will manage and run electrical wiring at recipient homes. This includes making site visits to homes to determine electrical scope of work, helping to prepare work orders, electrically wiring homes and trimming out, managing procurement and inventory, and overseeing fellow electricians. You will provide electrical expertise that will contribute to the overall success of energizing homes to families living without electricity. Travel is mandatory and will vary dependent on business needs

Primary Responsibilities
Electrical Installations & Maintenance- 70%
Draw electrical blueprints
Produce an electrical BOM for residential projects
Bend EMT conduit up to 1” with hand bender
Mount load centers and terminate
Perform PV inverter interconnections at the load center
Electrical wiring of solar array/systems (DC and AC)
Troubleshoot electrical issues
Ensure work performed is good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
Maintain a clean and safe job site & follow safety protocols.
Procurement & Inventory - 20%
Develop and refine process for tracking electrical materials and tools
Manage and provide oversight of data tracking for cost, approvals, and material procurement as it relates to each individual project. Research price and cross-reference costs for each purchase.
Keep organized and tidy with tools, materials and hardware
Manage electrical inventory, coordinate with team to ensure all materials and equipment necessary for installation are available onsite
Communication, Customer Service & Team Management - 10%
Manage and supervise team electricians
Provide exceptional customer service experience and share knowledge with customers
Improve processes and proactively review workmanship onsite
Communicate job status to the team
Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
Write project reports that can be understood by other team members
Punctuality and dependability are essential
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience with residential electrical wiring
Must be able to read blueprints, one-line and 3-line diagram
Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Access to transportation to arrive at job sites
Reliable working cell phone and wi-fi
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to carry, push and pull up to 50+ pounds
Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and work from heights
Prolonged periods of repetitious duties including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
Continuing Education (e.g. CLE)
Electrical certificate (e.g. fundamentals)
Understand and/or speak the Diné (Navajo) or Hopi language
Experience working in or with tribal communities
OSHA10 or 30 certification
