Electrical Engineer

Nokomis Inc. is a high technology research and development company located just south of Pittsburgh, PA. We work hand in hand with organizations such as the U.S Military, DARPA, NASA, the DOE, and the DOD. We have won several phase I, phase II, and phase III SBIR’s, and have been awarded numerous additional contracts as well.
 

We are seeking versatile problem solvers that can apply their skills and experience to a wide array of design challenges and produce results that enhance the company’s electrical and electronic device offerings.  Innovative and driven engineers who bring unique solutions to challenging engineering problems are highly desirable.
 

Electrical Engineers are desired to be a part of our team of diverse talents and skills.  This candidate will assist in the development of the latest cutting-edge technology and should be comfortable handling multiple projects.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Able to specify the operational requirements of a PCB assembly from system specifications
• Design hardware to suit given requirements and document the design
• Electromagnetic or SPICE circuit stimulation a plus
• Circuit design of RF, Digital, mixed-signal and analog circuits
• Schematic capture and/or layout using EDA software (Mentor Graphics PADS used here)
•  BOM generation and specify components for PCBs
• Oversee PCB fabrication and PCB assembly done at outside suppliers
• Test, debug and evaluation of PCB assemblies
• Ability to work on multiple projects efficiently

Qualifications and Skills

• Embedded software or FPGA experience preferred
• Design for manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with printed circuit boards and digital boards
• Familiar with hardware embedded systems
• Hardware/Software interface
• Experience with high speed circuitry
