Responsibilities: 

• Pet Sitting: Visit our client's homes, 1-4 times per day (morning, mid 

day, dinner and evening) to walk, feed and care for their pet/s while 

they travel. 

• Overnight/House Sitting: Spend the night in our client’s homes; 

starts with a 1-hour dinner visit, followed by a 9-hour sleeping stay 

and a 1-hour morning visit. 

• Dog Walking: Visit our client's homes, 1-2 visits per day between the 

hours of 10:30 AM & 3 PM, Monday through Friday, to walk dogs 

while their owners are at work. 

Requirements | Employees Must: 

• Live in or no further than 8 miles from Randolph and Denville. 

• Be physically fit and able to work and commute in all types of weather 

(this is a VERY active position that requires hours of energy, even on 

rainy, snowy or humid and hot days.) 

• Have access to a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license. 

• Be 100% reliable (Viva La Pet sitters do their best to cover in cases 

of emergencies, but this is not a job where “calling out sick” is 

tolerated, as the pets in your care depend on you.) 

• Have the ability to communicate effectively with Viva La Pet, our team 

and our and clients, by returning emails, phone calls, and text 

messages promptly. 

• Be able to provide professional references (not friends or family) 

• Provide a current and clean background check 

• Own a smart mobile cell phone with a data plan 

• You must be willing to commit to at least 12 months of working with 

VLP, as our client’s grow accustomed to their pet care specialist 

Compensation: 

We pay our team per job. Each job is typically 30 minutes in length. You will be 

paid $8 per job or approximately $15 per hour. After a probationary period, 

your services will be reviewed and you will be eligible for a $1 per job 

increase which comes out to approximately $17 per hour.
