Job Description:

Lightspeed Systems is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. You will get to wear many hats - content creator, demand gen, campaign manager. The role will include planning, executing, managing, and reporting on a wide variety of marketing programs, including website content, SEO, paid search & media, and more. You’ll be joining a small, but growing, marketing team with an emphasis on growth, experimentation, and optimization.

Things are never dull at Lightspeed. With new products and features always coming out, we switch gears and get to work on new projects all the time. It is the pace and excitement of an agency/startup environment while having the security and longevity of an established in-house marketing department.

ABOUT YOU

You are a marketer who prides themselves on producing great content - and then getting it out there where people will see it. You thrive in a small organization, can juggle multiple projects, and like to get things done. You’re enthusiastic about all things marketing and constantly learning. You have a growth mindset - and you know what that means. You are always striving to do better.

This position will provide well-written, comprehensive content that is industry-appropriate and acceptable for marketing materials and multi-faceted marketing campaigns. This position requires strong feature/benefit language.

This is a great opportunity for someone who relishes the opportunity to be a collaborative part of a team, but also likes to roll their sleeves up and do the daily work of creating. We’re a small and tight knit team, with a team first attitude. With team members all over the world, we spend part of our time in the office, and part of our time working remotely, which is the perfect blend of in-person collaboration and self driven work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write a variety of content – always clear and benefit-oriented – for a variety of mediums, including web copy and blogs (with SEO in mind), case studies, video scripts, guides, and emails
  • Determine how best to define, reach, and engage our target audience
  • Develop innovative ways to communicate marketing messages via integrated marketing programs that include direct mail, email, web, video, collateral, and that support trade shows and events
  • Ensure marketing messaging is consistent and drives the key messages in an impactful way
  • Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals and other project-related needs
  • Own the content, optimization, and management of paid marketing programs
  • Contribute to multiple initiatives that improve conversion throughout the funnel
  • Pull and analyze reports to extract insights and transform those insights into actionable changes that will accelerate performance.

ABOUT YOU – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Be flexible and adaptable at all times as you go in and out of full independence and then into deep collaboration.
  • Enjoy an agile workflow that helps balance long-term projects with immediate needs.
  • Ability to think holistically, in a user-centric fashion, with a sharp eye for detail and consistency.
  • Thoroughly believes that the devil is in the details and is confident they can get those details right.
  • Is technologically savvy and can understand sophisticated concepts with ease.
  • Believes that in order to be the best content creator possible, you must fully understand the user and the product.
  • Can manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, from concepts to deliverables.
  • Always be looking for new ways to engage our customers and users - and taking the initiative to bring new projects to life.
  • Comfortable with feedback and adapts quickly to changing information.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Is able to deliver quality content under all circumstances, whether you have 5 months, 5 days, or 5 hours to accomplish the goal.
  • Preferably someone with experience with working for a SaaS company.
  • A compelling and unique point of view in your work.

Required skills:

  • 2-5 years marketing experience in areas such as copywriting, strategy, SEO, SEM/PPC, email marketing, and marketing automation
  • Pardot experience highly desirable
  • Salesforce experience in relation to marketing preferred
  • Google Analytics experience preferred
  • B2B marketing experience, preferably for a SaaS company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally travel

To ensure your application is reviewed as quickly as possible, please be sure to:

  • REQUIRED: Include a cover letter to tell us why you think you & Lightspeed could be a perfect match. (This is a marketing role; pitch us. Resumes without cover letters won’t be considered.)
