Job Description
Title: Dental Technician Porcelain Department
Location: Augusta, GA
Shift: Monday-Friday Day Shift
Job responsibilities
Working as a Dental Laboratory Technician in the Porcelain Department, contributing to the manufacturing process of fixed prosthodontic dental products. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily (and any other duties assigned).
Additional responsibilities of the Dental Lab Technician in the Porcelain Department include:
Fabricate fixed prosthodontic restorations including Full Zirconia, PFM and PFZ.
Read prescription forms or specifications to determine the design of the restoration to be fabricated
Fabrication processes vary based on the appliance, but may include the following:
Sandblast/prep
Opaque
Build
Contour
Stain/Glaze
Quality Control
Safely and correctly operate/maintain all equipment & hand pieces
Maintain department supply inventory
Follow procedures and protocols

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Dental General Manager will have a High School Education or equivalent, and preferably a certified dental laboratory technician (CDT).
Additional requirements of the Dental Ceramist role include:
Minimum 2 years’ experience
Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
Hand/eye coordination
Ability to work using magnification
Attention to detail
Able to plan and prioritize workflow, complete tasks on time
Trouble shooting and problem solving
Ability to learn and implement new procedures
Work with minimal supervision
