We are looking for an Experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who will make the office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Candidates should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Responsibilities include but limited to:
- Prepares treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Able to provide quadrant dentistry by placing resin composite, and amalgam restorations.
- Prepares treatment plans for patients, answers questions, and provides a thorough explanation of treatment steps.
- Follows strict stringent sterilization protocols.
- Experience in all areas of comprehensible dentistry including crown & bridge, implant dentistry, veneers, root canals, oral surgery, Invisalign, etc.
- Able to provide diagnostic intraoral & extraoral images through radiographs, scanners, and cone beams.
- Experience fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
Skills
- Proven experience as an expanded dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to provide quadrant dentistry by placing resin composite, and amalgam restorations
- Well-organized and reliable
- Bilingual preferred
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset
