Sr. Data Warehouse Database Developer

Location: Cleveland, OH

Type: Full-time

Note: Must be a US Citizen to be considered due
ITAR/DFAR. No relocation allowance available.

We are looking for a full-time senior level Data
Warehouse Developer who is an expert with data, integrating data
from
multiple sources, cleansing data and building star schema.

This position will primarily be responsible for the data end
of the BI. You will work with the analysts to source, cleanse and
build the
database models to serve their specific needs, but also can serve
other ad-hoc
requirements down the road.

Within this role, we are looking for someone who is very
strong in SQL, SSIS data integration, cleansing and harmonizing
data as
well as building maintainable, automated data warehouse systems.
Currently, we
use both SQL Server as well as some PostgreSQL. In the future, we
could be
migrating to Azure Synapse (SQL Data Warehouse), or AWS Redshift
in the future
as we grow our size, the team, and capabilities in this area.

Requirements of the Data Warehouse Developer

* A bachelor's degree or technical college in a related field
is preferred.
* At least 5+ years of database development experience using
SQL.
* Experience with data warehouse and star-schema design
concepts.
* ETL tools experience is a plus but not required (SSIS, Power
BI, Talend, DataStage, Informatica, etc).
* .NET, Python, and/or PowerShell is a plus for writing custom
automation scripts when necessary.
* Ability to gather business requirements and recommend
industry best practices and work with functional knowledge
holders. Also the
ability to document requirements and present them to a team.
* Create process flows, high level functional and detailed
technical design specifications from business requirements.
* Has a customer service mentality, a drive to create innovative
systems, and a need to continually add capabilities and business
value over
time.
* Proven development expertise and experience.
* Limited to no travel. This position is currently able to
work remote due to COVID, but will eventually transition back
into our office
in NE Ohio when possible in the future.
