The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining data in company databases and systems. This role involves handling sensitive information, ensuring data integrity, and assisting with general administrative tasks as needed. The specialist will be expected to maintain high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter data into company databases, spreadsheets, or other systems accurately and promptly.
- Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before entering it into systems.
- Update and maintain data records, correcting any errors or inconsistencies in a timely manner.
- Retrieve and organize information from multiple sources, including electronic and paper files, and prepare it for entry.
- Assist in generating reports based on the data entered and provide summaries as needed.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with organizing files, managing documents, and maintaining administrative records.
- Perform regular backups of data to ensure data integrity and prevent data loss.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve data entry processes and resolve any data-related issues.
- Respond to requests for information and provide updates on data as needed by different departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in data entry or a related administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Fast typing skills with knowledge of touch-typing systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with database systems or CRM software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
