Job Title: CTS Expert Cycling Coach

Reports To: CTS Director of Coaching Development
Location: Remote
Overview:
Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) is hiring an endurance coach, who specializes in cycling, to work as an independent contractor reporting to the CTS Director of Coaching. The right candidate will possess strong organization and communication skills as well as an excellent understanding of exercise physiology and training theory. He/she will be responsible for coaching a variety of endurance athletes from the weekend warrior to the elite, utilizing phone, internet, TrainingPeaks, and e-mail communication. CTS coaches are part of a team of remote coaches where more senior coaches are teamed up with junior coaches to facilitate free knowledge flow and mentorship opportunities. Additionally, a keen sense of entrepreneurship, relationship building, and a deep connection to the cycling market is essential.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring and developing training programs according to the CTS training methodology.
Providing written and verbal feedback to athletes regarding all aspects of training.
Delivering “hands-on” coaching to athletes at one-on-one or group training camps.
Attending events/races as a representative of the company.
Giving informative lectures and presentations to the cycling community, either in person or on live and/or recorded social media.
Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Exercise Science or equivalent field of study
Extensive first-hand experience as a cyclist.
Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, a National Governing body (NGB) coaching license: USA Cycling, etc.
Bilingual/ Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation Package:
This is an independent contractor based position and compensation is determined by the number and level of athletes coached.
